We are a reputable company and respect our customers’ need for security and privacy. To operate as an online clothing retailer, we have lists of customers and contacts. This policy sets out our responsibilities and your rights as a consumer in respect of the data we hold. We promise that data we hold about you is held securely, and that we respect your right to rectification or erasure of your data. We are compliant with the European GDPR which became effective in May 2018.
Our web site operates on a secure server, provided by the hosting platform for our site. You can check that it is secure by noting the “s” in the URL in your browser and the padlock icon.
Your payment is transacted by secure platforms, currently Stripe for credit cards, and Paypal. Your card details are processed securely on their system. We do not have access to or store your card details.
Where your data is accessed by a PC it is on our OneDrive storage location on Microsoft’s servers. We promise to password-protect any document containing customer data which might be accessed from one of our PCs.
In the unlikely event of a data breach we would a) write to you to inform that your data has been compromised and b) inform the UK Government’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). In any case it we operate to the ICO’s guidelines, which can be viewed here:
It’s your data!
The details we hold are an email address for our newsletter subscribers, and for e-commerce customers also address details. We have compiled this data from multiple sources, including bought lists, contact forms, blog followers and web shop customers.
We will only use your data for the purposes of informing you about our products and offers, or for fulfilling your web shop orders. We will not sell, redistribute or disclose your data except if required by law enforcement agencies. In the case where our business assets are acquired by a third party, they may choose to review this policy, in which case we would expect them to inform you.
You can ask us to amend your contact details or to erase your details from our system at any time by contacting us through the web site or sending an email to email@example.com. Our marketing emails will have a clear option to unsubscribe, and to continue receiving our marketing communications you will have to opt in by clicking on the subscribe link.
