So, that’s our Henley launch done and dusted. Phew! Our first pop-up shop and chance to meet potential customers got off to a flying start and we made our first sales! Not only that, but we also had the chance to get some feedback on the jackets and are delighted to report that almost everyone we spoke to loved them. The colours, fabric, working cuffs and piping trims seemed to win approval across the board, so it was very gratifying to know that you all feel the same as we do: tall women need more choice of clothing and want to see some good quality products coming onto the market.
For anyone who was unable to make it along, here’s a taste of Allta’s launch, including a visit by world record-breaking trans-Atlantic rower, Kiko Matthews:
We’re now also up and running with the shop here on our website. Our military jacket in olive is not yet in stock but we are expecting to get delivery of that by the end of August and will let you know as soon as it’s in.
We’re now reviewing our next steps and how we proceed with new garments. We’ve had three shirts sampled: a gingham shirt with contrasting buttons and plackets, an oversized linen shirt with multi-coloured buttons and a white broderie anglaise blouse with a peter pan collar. You can get a flavour of them here in our look book.
We now need to so some work on the manufacturing cost to make sure we can offer them at a price to suit your budgets.
We’d also love to hear from you about what you would like to see from Allta. You can drop us a line via the contact page here on the website.
